Malachor
Malachor originates from Caligony, representing the Metaphorical force of Rot, Corruption, and Monstrosities.
Because of the death of Caligony's Godhead, Pelezotz, only faint traces of this Metaphor still exist, all of which may now be found only within its native Plane and the Cambions thereof.
Rot
Once dead, the remains of all organic matter always Rots. In times of old, it was Malachor that powered this process whilst multiplying and festering during it.
- With Caligony's destruction, the decay of all things has been subsumed in large part by Anathema.
Corruption
Malachor's power of Corruption was perhaps what led the denizens of Aarda and other Planes to be so bent upon Caligony's destruction. When a still-living creature came into contact with the Malachor of Rotting matter, they would risk suffering from Corruption, the results of which heavily varied– maladies, anatomical shifts, tumorous growths, festering pustules, mental instability and more were all equally common. Particularly potent Rot could even permanently mar a soul.
Monstrosities
The Monstrosities born of Malachor were undyingly loyal to Pelezotz's sole purpose: to spread Rot, and Corruption by proxy, in order to multiply.
