Poetics are characterized by having no specific Metaphor, instead drawing from that which is being used to achieve a prerequisite state of being. Even with Remnant, variants exist for Planes other than Avernus. Poetics require a Minor Merit to pursue.

Poetics

History

To attempt to chase down the exact origin point of Poetics would be folly, for as long as Planar Metaphors have existed, so too, have Poetics. Though they are innate to Spirits such as Ghosts, Poetics have also been wielded by practitioners of many different types of Arcana. This branch of use likely originated with the primordial Galdr, though it may also be found in ancient arts like Glamours and more insidious techniques like Blights.

Purpose

Each branch of Poetics serve their own unique purpose, from the siphoning of Metaphor to allowing the incorporeal to become corporeal and vice versa. For more information, please see the individual pages below.
