Aether
Aether
Aether originates from the Aetherium, representing the metaphorical force of boundless possibilities, and the power of the infinite.
Possibility
When Ensorcellers speak of Aether, they are quick to point out the Possibility it represents. Mystics refer to 'Aether' as the Prime Metaphor. Everything that exists is made from Aether or a force derived from its potential.
When empty of Aether, a being will feel more powerful, often manic, as Aether regulates this sense within a living being.
Power
Compared to all other forces, Aether is far more pure in power, and boundless in scope. However, it resists most attempts to harness it beyond naturally suffusing the Planes in the form of Alkahest and that which may be harvested by a soul via Galdr. Aether is capable of uniquely and uniformly commanding all other forces.
Souls
Alive or dead, the Soul is an Aetheric Construct which is manipulated or altered externally via Miasmata or Saol. It is thought that the Aetherium makes the soul possible, as even Cambion from the great beyond possess souls. Anything born or created with the potential to be sapient will foster within itself a soul.
Alkahest
Crystallized Aether in the form of Alkahest may be found on every Plane of existence, which may then be tasked by an Alchemist into a crystal of another force. Once converted, it may not be changed back into so-called Aetherite. Alkahest may be used as fuel, a tool, or a reagent for arcane miracles by the various Practices.
Mysticism
Aether - due to the Soul - allows Mystics to create miracles and Rituaali like Familiary.
Welkin
The fundamental possibilities of Aether allow the soul to facilitate Welkin.
