Other Gods

Kratyx, the Fallen Giant

Kratyx: Kratyx once helmed a world inside of everyone; in those days, the Flesh was enduring and the people were of exceptional size and Strength. Giants walked the world of Antarok, and once the Fae caught wind of their true nature, a few among them sought to remove it. For what purpose, however...who could say? Nevertheless, their grandest of Maltricians set about the task of extracting this divine Vitality, and, eventually, they succeeded, slaying Kratyx in the process. Though faint traces of his Pact still linger, the people of the world gradually diminished, weakened without his influence.

Læloch, the Barren Moon

Læloch: Once Godhead to a verdant world shining a veil of green upon two worlds - Ælphyne, and Antarok - Læloch presided over the most wondrous eternal garden, said to be so beautiful that all paled in comparison. Læloch was Majesty. Læloch was Envy itself. Læloch was destroyed along with all that it was by Elphame, Dryad Queen of the Spring Court, who simply went to the Moon and told every plant to come back with her to Ælphyne across a great bridge into the sky built from roots. From that point on, the Godhead's Pact ceased to function, and the moon went dull and grey - none felt envious when they looked up at that pale, desiccated orb in the sky. Today, Læloch is scarcely known except by ancient accounts, and some faiths refer to the moon as the 'comatose' place. Those who visit the moon describe a frigid, barren world of fine, powdery sand, and a foreboding sense of nihilism.

Pelezotz, Mother of Monsters

Pelezotz: Once, there was a dark void that hung over the frozen wastes of Slahane like a black sun, and it lead to a realm known as Caligony. If any dared to venture into this void, they would find themselves in a strange, grey plane popped with Rotting plants of dark blues, greens, and bright reds. All of its denizens were strange, twisted beasts, and all of them were watched over by Pelezotz, lovingly nicknamed Mother of Monsters. They enjoyed being looked upon as a maternal figure, and so They wore this title proudly. And often, Their beloved monsters would leave through the void and attempt to Corrupt those of Antarok or other planes to take on their more monstrous looks and ideals, shifting them in Pelezotz' image. Many did not like this, and, eventually, the Cambions of Aarda gathered a concentrated force which sought to purge this corrupting influence from the world, for Pelezotz and Their creations were always portents of Rot and decay. They burned away the dark creatures living within Caligony, and even Pelezotz Themselves with Archaeon Araziel's help.

Nihilos, The Night-Father

Nihilos: Many cultures share the aeons-old mythos of the sky fading to a world of pitch black, the light of Aarda snuffed out for seven days as a being of the infinite nothing descended from the Aetherium. Referred to as 'Nihilos' or 'The Stranger' by those who are aware of its existence, and the 'Night-Father' by its faithful, it attempted to devour the Godheads all at once before it fell into their dream and became an infinite plane of its own timeless being. The Night-Father is Absentia itself.

Protea, the God-Dream

Protea: Protea is the hypothetical Godhead of the Aetherium, dreamer of the Godheads and therefore the true god above all representing the prime force of Aether and its Metaphorical aspects of Possibility, Power, and the Soul. As Protea has no known Pact, no proof has ever been found of its existence, nor is its name common to literature. Most faithful are adamantly against the idea of a higher power than their own god, and the scholars who have tried to prove its existence are laughed away into obscurity. Those faiths that do acknowledge it say that Protea is the Aetherium itself - something other than a Godhead, similar to Nihilos.
