Arcana
From Antarok
Antarok brims with fantastical phenomena. Much of what has been achieved can be found in the writings of scholars for the arcane, often with cautious warnings whispering to the frailties of mortal minds.
Tangles
Tangles are a magic tapestry of invisible ribbons woven into a soul, awakening it to the expression of magic. By drawing in Aether from the Aetherium and channeling it through their Tangle, a mage is capable of creating miracles at the risk of unraveling their mind, body, and soul. See Tangles
Elementia
Elementalia refers broadly to the various elemental Tangles a mage may wield. See Elementia.
Blight
The Blighted are cursed with Tangles of dark power and amoral hunger. See Blights.
Practices
Practices are a form of magic derived from the world around the mage, using mundane or magical tools and the strange laws of reality to their benefit. What a Practice can do is without limitation, provided the necessary materials are on hand. See Practices
Glamour
Glamour is the power of converting Life Force to Aether using arcane-adapted organs within or upon the body. Some races including the Faefolk and Draconidae are born with the organs necessary to cultivate it, and magical creatures sometimes wield Minor Glamour to terrifying effect. See Glamour.
Gnosis
Gnosis: Power cultivated through the adoption of philosophies surrounding organized faiths, Gnosis is derived from one or more gods imagined by a Prophet. The miracles of Gnosis are fueled by drawing upon the power of mass devotion rather than the mage themselves.
Eldritch
Eldritch: Phenomena is considered Eldritch when it cannot be classified in the usual way, often tied to metaphor or one's state of being. See Eldritch.
