Racial Abilities:

Heightened Senses Wolvetti who live solitary lives develop a heightened sense of hearing and smell. They can hear for up to six miles, responding to yells or 'howls' from three miles out regardless of tree cover. They can smell many things coming downwind, such as storms and Wolvetti doctors can even sense illness through a combination of hearing and scent.

Heightened emotions like fear, anger, or joy can also be picked up by a Wolvetti nose.

Culture

Wolvetti live in Kalevala, which is a heavily isolated country of wetlands and forests with many Sofontti clans; they are technologically stuck in the Late Iron Age due to their gods restricting what they are allowed to make use of, inherently fearing outside technology as wasteful or sinful.

Magic

Wolvetti are not permitted by their gods to practice foreign arcana. At most, they will dabble in Animism, Mysticism, or Ensorcelling. Very rarely are there Animists with Gramarye, or Shaman who borrow the power of a dragon, leading a life of spiritual service. Galdr, foreign Glamour, Pacts, and Dominion are forbidden by sacred law and seen as evil, while Poetics used by the living are seen as anathema. Causing a ruckus with magic will rapidly earn the ire of Kalevalan gods--Dragons who will send their minions to hunt those who violate these sacred laws.

Language

Wolvetti speak Sofonic, which is a phonetic language that incorporates actual words, animal vocalizations varying upon the race of the Sofontti who is speaking, and body language. This is seen as the most complicated of languages across the entire world as each regional dialect varies significantly between the various clades of Sofontti.

When written, Sofonic is a runic language of glyphs, often with jagged and claw-like markings etched by claws. OOCly Finnish is used to represent Sofonic, and non-verbal information may be written in *italics*.

Biology

Wolvetti are semi-humanoid.

Wolvetti are human-sized, bipedal, semi-humanoid wolves that stand upright on two legs. They are between five and six and a half feet tall. They have poseable thumbs on their paws.

Wolvetti are considered pups until the age of sixteen, at which point they may marry.

Prejudice

Wolvetti do not like Inari or Foxtti and generally feel a strong sense of justice. They do not tolerate thieving or dishonesty, and tend to make sweeping assertions over entire races based on their own rumor.
