Glamour

Glamours are a form of Personal Arcana native to the Faefolk of Ælphyne, each requiring special anatomy to wield. All Glamours require a Minor Merit to pursue.

Glamour

History

Glamour are biological, Saol-based personal Arcana that each originated within the bodies of particular races Faefolk. Grist is considered to be the very first to make manifest in Dragons and their Kobold. Shimmer first came to be in Sidhe, though it also manifests naturally in Pixies. Draoidh originated within both the female Dryads and their male counterpart, Satyrs, but also occurs naturally within the Æld'Norai. Seeming first came to be within Boggarts, though Inari have also claimed it as their own.

Purpose

Glamours exist due to the unknowable whimsy of biology; as such, to prescribe them a 'purpose' makes little sense. For more information, please see the individual pages below.

Wild Glamour

Beyond the known Glamour Organs of Fae and Draconidae, there are forms of Wild Glamour tied to the natural world, to beasts, and to the soul itself. See Wild Glamour

	Grist is the power of Draconidae such as Kobold and Dragons to meld with their environment and impart aspects of themselves upon it. See Grist.
	Changelings such as Boggarts or Inari don the guises of other bodies and even personalities, taking a life lived as their own. See Seeming.
	Shimmer is the psychoactive dust spread by a Pixie or Sidhe to show those who sense it all manner of sensory illusions. See Shimmer.
	Druids inter nature within themselves to then connect with flora through a symbiotic bond. See Draoidh.
