 An overview of Malediction. Malediction requires a Minor Merit to pursue.

History

A brief history of Malediction

Concepts

  • Brionics: - The craft of altering and adjusting flesh for the mending of diseases and the frailties of life.
  • Vitalis: - Increases depression, but can alter the living.
  • Mortis: - Increases insanity, but can alter the dead.
  • Emotives: - The way emotion works, a patients will to live through operation, and the process of adapting to a new body.

Tools

Brionic Vessels

Various Strickened glass containers for Vitalis, Mortis, and Enervated organs/limbs.

Maltrician's Dirk

Extracting Vitalis or Mortis into a vessel, and extruding it as foam. May be affixed with a hose hooking into a larger brionic vessel.

Latherer

A sponge-tipped tool with a swappable brionic vessel cartridge as its handle, for painting Vitalis or Mortis upon an organ or buffering down skin imperfections such as scars.

Essence Shaper

Sharp-pointed tongs with hypodermic needles and a scoop for sculpting flesh and bone.

Forming Bench

A large rotating bench for a Maltrician's Workshop, complete with straps, detachable panels for accessing the spine, limb clamps, suspension chains, and flesh hooks. May be adjusted to bend the patient into needed positions. Not a part of the toolkit; included when purchasing a Maltrician workshop.

Mind Needles

A pair of needles for tattooing a mind with Vitails or Mortis, adjusting emotion and desire.

=Techniques

Repose

Placing the patient into a comatose state. Creating Draugr.

Hemostasis

Hemostatics is the process of stabilizing wounds or incisions, and blocking or encouraging the flow of blood.

Enervation

Making flesh appear more lively, and durable. Also, preserving limbs and organs for later use.

Shaping

Altering the shape of flesh and bone.

Adhering

Grafting flesh and organs together.

Neurostasis

Neurostatics is the artform of manipulating the mind of a victim through Brionic brain tattoos, encouraging or suppress desires, specific emotions, and creating servants of ceaseless drive or outright dominating Draugr into loyal Ghouls.

Skill Tiers

Novice

A Novice has learned about Repose and Hemostatics.

Apprentice

An Apprentice has begun to experiment with Enervation.

Journeyman

A Journeyman can Shape and Adhere, and often seeks out a workshop.

Expert

An Expert has begun to experiment with Neurostasis, and they can make Draugr.

Master

A Master can make Draugr into Ghouls.

Sovereign

A Sovereign of Malediction is the Atropian.
