Origins
Humanity began twelve thousand years ago from the ruin of an Ard’Norai faction that once fought to separate themselves from the secular beliefs of their kin. The elves cast away the ear-tips of the fallen and exiled them to the lands of less far beyond the fae woods of Ardrassils shadow. Once known as the Traitor Elves, humanity moved on while their Ard’Norai forefathers never did.
History
Spreading out across the four corners of Antarok, humanity settled the west as the Dullahan - now the Freefolk, the north as the Nedes, the east as the Jian, and the south as the Kani. Mortality created a sense of urgency for humanity, and their societies and cultures advanced quickly; empires rose, and fell, only to rise again.
Languages
Common - the language of the Freefolk - is the most prolific language in the world. Nedes speak Nedish, Kani speak Kaniri, and the Jian speak Jianese.
